Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking Landers!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers have an option that requires buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective. Learn more on DNW.com.

Great work so far! We moved our entire portfolio over :).
Thank you so much! 😊

Simple tick box on a domain to swap the make an offer portion to message box but leave the rest?
Unpriced domains now have a message box and the offer field can be turned off.

Give it a try. 😎

Seriously what different are you contemplating other than what other parking companies have tried ?
We wouldn't want to spoil the surprise. 🤐

In the meantime, check out our newest feature from last week that no other parking companies (and no other company in any industry) have tried:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/the-1st-of-its-kind-multi-domain-catch-all-inbox.1345015/

B-)

So do we have to stay tuned for another month?
We'd love it to be ready now, but it's a very big project with a lot of moving parts.

Since it's never been done before, we can't just partner with an existing company like Google's Ads for Domains (AFD) or Commission Junction for affiliate links.

We have to build the entire ad network, and everything that comes along with it, from scratch.

It's something we're working through little by little as we deliver other requested features each week.

Hang in there. 😊

I understand that it takes a lot of money and effort to launch a new product. But since you have raised hopes of a lot of folks here, I just want to know if you could share a little bit about what the product is or what is it about in short if it does not jeopardise the product itself.

If you believe that discussing the monetising product at this stage will jeopardise it, then sure don't let us know but honestly we would love to know something about it.

It's an alternative to AFD and affiliate links, but the goal is the same: enable you to earn money from traffic to your domains.

However, ours won't disrupt or decrease the chance of a domain sale, unlike all existing monetization solutions out there.

There are some details that still have to be worked out with ad partners. For example, we want to pay you for every valuable visit to your domain names, but ad partners may object to that and we may have to switch to something else, such as clicks.

We'll take the journey together. 😊

Aren't there any pay per view / cost per view advertising companies anymore ?

For example if we can embed the videos on your domain pages and we get paid every time a video is watched for certain duration or something like that

Or just showing a simple ad banner on all our domains and getting paid for it ? I know it will be very miniscule but collectively on 100s and 1000s of domains it can add up. Is it possible in this day and age ?

isn't that possible anymore - @Bravo Mod Team

Yep, on traditional ad formats. Ours is a new use case and benefits from us being able to specify the requirements of it.

Perhaps we'll start with something less refined to make it available sooner if we find a network partner doing something close enough.

For example if we can embed the videos on your domain pages and we get paid every time a video is watched for certain duration or something like that
That's a cool idea! Perhaps we should explore this one, too. 💡

That's certainly possible. We could have various monetization options, including the two you just mentioned and our innovative one.

Thanks for sharing these ideas. 😊

Example: Upscale.com

The .co has a better lander. 😍

Is there a way to create a "Buy Now with Escrow.com" (and others, too) where the button brings them to escrow.com and allows them to create an account with them and begins the process of funding the purchase before we even get a notification that someone clicked buy-now?

I am not saying this will force people to complete the purchase, it will just cut down the false-postitives.

100% of the dozen leads who have chosen "buy now" and one, who actually specificed escrow.com to transact the sale, have been duds. Only 2 have replied back to me, only one contacted escrow.com to cancel the transaction.

I am trying to think of a way that its like ebay. I want the product, I click buy it now, and before I can do anything else I am asked to pay. I do not think that seller gets a notification until I put in my credit card info.

I am just trying to think of a way that we can hand-hold the lead right into their back pocket and get them to take that credit card out (or however they're going to fund) AND THEN give the seller the good news.

Yeah, those scenarios are almost entirely caused by confused visitors.

Currently, setting a relative minimum offer to 100% of the BIN is the easiest way to cut down on false positives.

Another effective way is to add a short description that appears directly below the domain to explain that you're only selling the domain name and no other services or products.

In a week or two, we hope to have our qualification (screening process) feature complete and ready for everyone.

That'll be the best way to confirm they're interested in buying a domain name (as opposed to looking for something else) and reduce false positives.

Dont have that... not yet. Will try it on a few names to see what happens.

I like that idea and will certainly test it once it rolls out.

I had the following on all of my domains. After months and months of people seemingly ignoring it, I removed it all - for now. I am trying to see if it makes a difference.

Of course, its probably more trouble than its worth to pursue legal action for breachs. Its was there for oomph but it did not stop anyone from clicking buy-now and then doing nothing and not responding.

I have come to the tested conclusion that there is simply no way to make a sales lander idiot proof because most people who complete the contact forms, even with a BIN, filled out the form without even reading anything on the lander. An example is a woman I called who I had the NP message that she had agreed to pay the $25,000 BIN. She said she just wanted to buy a bottle of vitamins and didn't even know anything about buying a domain name. Another guy I called who had agreed to a BIN sale asked me "What is a domain name?"

10
•••
I think that adding a question they can answer on the contact form would be great because it would let us know if they want something besides a domain name. That would serve the dual purpose of saving us from wasting our time and letting us know what to target the domain for. A question like "How may we help you today?" or "What exactly are you looking for?"

I'd like to reply "yes" and "maybe" at the same time. LOL. I have had leads like that, had no idea they were on a page to purchase a domain name even though I thought it was very clear. These were English-speaking persons, too. So no language barrier. Some asked what the interest rate for a credit card was. And yes, others have thought they were purchasing a product relevant to the domain.

But, here is the "maybe".... I also had a few CEOs of companies, who, each would have a legitamate interest in purchasing the domain name, click buy-now, and then ghost me. No return calls. No return emails. Crickets. Think CEO of a power generation company in the USA and the domain has the word "power" in it. Would have been a great acquitisition for that company IMO and I did email him to that very fact. One did contact escrow.com and ask them to cancel the purchase transaction but gave no reason why, so I was told. I had two others ask me to cancel the purchase because they made a mistake. :xf.rolleyes:

Dont know where you're from but I am in the US. If you are, too, then disregard. This is an example of a large-value purchase: a home. If I want to purchase a home from a seller you must give 10% earnest money to the realtor. If there is a legit reason that you cant purchase the home you get that back but if you simply change your mind, go with another home, etc - the seller gets the keep that 10%. It happened to me once. I was selling my home and this guy came in, looked around, placed an offer and I accepted the offer. He changed his mind 2 days later for no reason at all. Just decided no. Realtor told me to go cash the earnest $ check for 10% of the accepted offer. I had no idea about that because I wasnt there when he wrote that check to my realtor.

I'd love to see something like this for domains. But, they're going to provide lead qualifying soon so I am hoping that cuts down a lot of the ghost leads!

Yeah, this is exactly the situation that our qualification/screening feature is designed to solve. We're excited to see how effective it will be. 🤞

Coming soon. 😊

Maybe NP could follow the method of DomainAgents.com. They require buyers to pay a fee of $19.95 for each domain offer they submit. The tag line states "Show buyers you are serious by qualifying your offer and engaging the buyer brokerage services of DomainAgents for $19.95."

I am all for it. Serious buyers wont care one bit.

We could even spin it as a positive by stating that the buyer only forfeits the fee if their offer is accepted and they fail to make the payment, but if they make the payment within 48 hours of their offer being accepted, then they get double their money back! 🏆

3
•••
We would not even have to actually charge the fee upfront. Just run a pre charge, like the gas stations do to make sure the card is good. That would make every lead pre-qualified with their payment method already verified. :xf.wink:

Not sure about double their money back but I do like the incentivizing them to be expedient... As long as they communicate, I am OK. I fully understand that some deals will take time to come up with the funds; the larger sales. But for the run of the mill sales there is no reason to stall IMO.
