Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking Landers!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers have an option that requires buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective. Learn more on DNW.com.

  • Exports: Download a list of your domains and their settings, customizations, and inquiries, including buyers’ email addresses, offers, etc. (CSV format.)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
We heard back from Atom on this:

If they’re a serious domain investor with a large portfolio and a strong trust score on NamePros, we’d be happy to make them a Trusted Seller on our platform and waive the usual requirements.

Great news! 🥳 🎉

Thank you! Is it advisable to connect with them here (DM), or at Atom, to have this fulfilled? I figured I would ask here since I can not see the private conversation that is being referenced.

I'm still on bodis.. had few mins and switched few names to np today to see where it's at
. .. last I tried was 6month ago..
I left cause of lack of proper support for getting all inquiries not just confirmed ones.. apparently now it's better but back then np seemed to be under impression that somehow their view on whether email confirmations are better or not somehow is more important than client and user view. which obviously it's not because client is boss. and.without client their parking wouldnt exist

anyway this kinda seems fixed now
so tnx

later is always better than never

now to the fun part.

I add some names today

try one.. and lo behold I get 7 trillion ridiculous security screens
.. u know all that back to safety or proceed at your risk.

what is this nonsense??? it doesnt exist on any other landers.. sedo bodis etc

how can u put a buyer thru this massacre ???? do u do not testing before releasing a product??? or it's just bad joke????

obviously I switched back. with utter disgust for a time wasted.

The SSL certificate hadn't been certified yet. Time would have solved the problem, usually within a few minutes to a couple of hours.

I'm sure both u and I and any sane person here realizes few mins or hours for potential buyer coming to your lander equals a no sale.

I tried np landers months back. I quit cause they tried to convince me only confirmed emails are of importance. instead of listening to what matters to a client. not to them.

I wasted more time today trying this again and I get this.

I'm done with np landers.

bye bye

I'm sorry this is happening to you. The NP landers have improved my sales tremendously. The past few months I've had 10k plus in sales from the detailed data I've gotten from the inquiries. I'm now in escrow after weeks of negotiations for a single name sold for $120k. I'll make that announcement official on what that name is after it (hopefully) closes with no issues.

It will typically be about 15 seconds after we first see a domain pointing at us. This is just how long it takes a certificate authority to issue a certificate: even in the best case scenario, every other provider is forced to wait this long. It’s not something we—or any other provider—can control.

If it takes longer than that, something is probably wrong. Since we’re requesting lots of certificates, sometimes we might cause a certificate authority to be under more load than they’re normally expecting to handle. We’ve selected CAs that are accustomed to dealing with lots of traffic, but it can still happen. If you let us know a domain that seemed to take longer than 15 seconds, we can investigate.

u seem clever man
yet u cant see your statement is absurd.

no one can tell what lander sells better or best if a same domain can only ever be on one lander during a same time.

but I dare u to prove the name or names u sold on lander x during period y would not have sold during identical period y on lander z.

without using parallel universes in proof.

If I'm not mistaken, your portfolio includes some TLDs that are known for slow DNS delegation updates. Such a delay could explain why TLS certificate provisioning at NamePros Parking couldn't start immediately. If you remember the exact error messages, could you share them, they usually contain useful information.

nice of u to explain
niceness was never your weak point

but I need working stuff to sell or to use a lander. to me that means that I dont care for confirming emails. in fact not confirming emails is what allows me to fall asleep in peace at nite. and now with all this certificate nonsense.. which btw is a non issue on any other lander I try... cant also become another matter keeping me from peace on my domain journey.

I'm sure there are ways to get rid of it all .. with everyone else being proof of that.. so I hope u do.

15 secs or 1min or 1h is eternity to potential buyer.. ie.. a no sale.

It's the same for all of those providers.

Certificates must be requested once every 90 days for each domain name that you want to visit with HTTPS.

After the certificate is issued, typically within ~15 seconds, then all future visits work immediately (no more waiting and no more warning messages), until its renewal.

The unlucky part is that you visited the domain name before the certificate was issued; that's why you saw a warning. If you or anyone else had tried to visit it again, it would have worked perfectly and you'd likely never experience it again for that domain.

You can visit all of our demo domains to see that none of them have a warning message because they all already received their certificates:

but bro.. dont we all know that buyers dont really do 2nd visits or 2nd chances? we only get one shot

I'm no website or browser but I never saw this elsewhere...maybe they just dont use certificates?

It's not my field. I go by what I see.

Every 60 days, actually. We try to keep 30 days of runway.

That could be what you’re seeing. Unfortunately for users of those providers, an increasing number of web browsers are starting to require certificates, and all mainstream browsers will eventually require them.

Our goal is to ensure the most people possible are able to see your landers. If the choice is between waiting an extra 15 seconds to provision a certificate, versus excluding an increasingly larger portion of the world that will never be able to see your lander without a certificate, well… :)

Like you said, no second chances. Nobody is going to switch browsers to visit your lander that doesn’t have a certificate; they’re just going to leave.

Looking at some of your domains, though, I can see that you’re using a landing service that relies on the same certificate authority that we use. They are getting certificates, and they have to wait the same amount of time for each one.

In technical terms, Let’s Encrypt, the CA, has to use special servers called HSMs to generate multiple cryptographic signatures for every domain you park with us (or that other provider). Those HSMs have to be very secure since they’re handling the most sensitive parts of the issuance process, but they’re also slow and expensive. Let’s Encrypt is the best equipped CA to issue certificates quickly, but even they can’t do it instantly. There’s also quite a bit of delay from the variety of DNS checks they’re required to perform, and if your registry/registrar has any delays in DNS propagation, that adds to the time it takes. Furthermore, if any of those checks fail due to DNS propagation delays, we have to wait even longer before trying again.

I see.
so let me understand.. they have to go back to this page again or ot kinda reloads and refreshes on it's own seconds later??? well I use bodis.. never had these screens going there.

nor basis landers
... gd..etc...

I stll dont think buyer will return or go thru these screens

plus they were not there when I tested months ago. but I left cause u i insisted on confirmed emails and all that

Here's how it works. When someone (you, the buyer, or a web crawler) visits your landing page for the 1st time, the NamePros webserver detects that no certificate is present, and will immediately request one. Once issued, the secured landing page loads right away (for everyone) without needing a reload.
