I would like to propose the idea of being able to use the NamePros Domain credits in the NamePros shop, for things such as title changes and stuff like that.

Any opinions? ;)

agreed absolutely.. i hardly ever use my domain credits for anything.. they just accumulate an it would be good to use them for the "shop"

This might 'flood the market' so to speak. I think the NP$ domain credits are worth a different amount?

no, they are worth the same amount but you cannot use the domain credits for anything else except registering domains.

You can use Domain Credits for Live Auctions as well I believe (Entry).

Aren't the domain credits worth only 0.02 cents each as the NP$ are worth 0.023 cents each?

They are both worth the same amount of money. Each NP$ is effectively 2 cents with 50NP$ being $1 and 100NP$ being $2.

Correct. You can also use them to highlight threads, buy advertisers for your site, among other things.

Actually I don't think you can use them to highlight threads because it says the option isn't available to me as I don't have enough NP$, yet I have 100+ domain credits. :-/

So really you can do only two things with them: NP Clicks, which in my opinion yields fairly low quality traffic, or use them to buy a domain.

It's not an option -- try highlighting a thread and it will automatically take the Domain Credits. For many site-based NP$ operations, it will take the Domain Credits first.

You both might be right.

The highlight thread feature is now available after you post a thread by using "Thread Tools". This definitely does accept domain credit first.

I'll have to check on the highlight feature that's available when posting.

Sorry, but I think you're wrong on this one Etab. Unless I have a defective account or something... ;)

That doesn't mean a thing. Actually highlight a thread and watch the domain credit magically disappear from your account. ;)

RJ, thanks for clarifying. I only found out that domain credit is taken out by adding a highlight to an existing thread -- haven't tried it out while posting a new thread.

Yep, I just checked and both ways of highlighting a thread and domain credit is accepted on both. The bug was that it wasn't giving the highlight option if you had less than 60 NP$ (didn't check domain credit). I fixed this.

Also I'm going to be making NP$ store items use domain credit. I'll post again when this is done.

Excellent News! :tu:

It'll stop a lot of confusion, that's for sure!

Cool -- looking forward to that! :gl:

EDIT: Hehe, I guess I'm too late to prove my point:
