Just got an email stating namejet joined hands with snapnames in order to increase drop catching chances

And they have increased the minimum price for a new Pending Delete backorder from $69.00 to $79.00

Here is the full email :

NameJet in partnership with SnapNames is pleased to be able to provide the highest drop-catch efficacy in the industry. In order to maintain the kind of user experience that our customers have come to expect, a price increase is being implemented that will allow for significant investment in technology and security, ensuring that our customers will have the best chance of acquiring the domains they want.

As of Tuesday, July 19, 2016; 2:00pm Pacific Time (US) the minimum price for a new Pending Delete backorder will increase from $69.00 to $79.00 USD. Systematically, you will not be charged for your backorder until we fulfill it. This rate increase will only affect Pending Delete names. We will honor the preexisting minimum rate of any backorder in your account at the time of the price change for any domain currently in Pending Delete status.

Whoa! That's quite a trustworthy partnership there. You can't make this stuff up. You couldn't write a funnier script.

Well once you get a customer base expansion after joining they are gonna want to make the money back as soon as possible. Always ends up being passed on to the consumer.

$10 is a big difference. Its a 15% increase! And why does a merge lead to a price increase for the customers is beyond me.

Namejet is still one of the best places to list your domains for sale. They could have raised it alot more.
