Namecheap issues anyone?

Hey guys,
Just wondering if any of your sites that are registered at Name Cheap are not working right now, or if it's something on my server. I'm pretty sure the issue is on my server, but wanted to find out if any of you are having any problems. The reason I even ask is I logged into my acct at Name Cheap tonight to check on something else, and saw this message:

Connectivity Issues with Registry!
We are currently experiencing connectivity issues with the Registry, if you attempt to register/renew a domain and you recieve a failure, please do not attempt the transaction again. We will manually register/renew the domains for you. Our developers are working on resolving this issue as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you. Sincerely, Namecheap.com Support Team

Is this just a local thing on my own server?

PS: I'm asking this, b/c I'm thinking about switching servers as a result of this down time (this isn't the first time)

Saw the same message yesterday, but it seems to be fine today. I thought that the above message was only intended to members who wanted to register new domain names, and not a DNS issue. Am I wrong?
