Hey guyz
I never used namecheap.com
I bought xxxplan.com recently and got hosting...

Now the problem is that my Site wont open...when i use PROXIES it works...and it works for others...but it is not working for me dont know y

I went to whois.sc and typed in my domain name
and in there it says that my domain name is LOCKED

I went back to namecheap control panel and i dont see anything about LOCKING or UNLOCKING a domain....
can anyone HELP me out please

I have had same problem with namecheap but usually fixs itself in couple of days. I would suggest you to wait for a day or two to see what happens because I don't think namecheap or your hosting provider can do anything about it as the site works for everyone else. You might wanna give it a shot and contact namecheap and see what they have to say about this problem.

Status LOCKED is auto set if you reg your domain at NameCheap, you can unlock it :
Login - View your Domain - Click (manage) your domain - Click "Registrar Lock" - Release - Save Changes

PS : Registrar Lock is a security feature was put in place to avoid unauthorized transfers by someone else.

Maybe you should check your comp. or ISP

Most likely it's an issue with your isp not using live updates of the zone files and using an old set up that updates every couple days.

Also, keep your name locked, if you don't people can basically steal it from you.

oh that sucks i wanted to develop the site to sell it...Now i have to wait for a week or 2 for the DOMAIN TO WORK!!

Instead of whining here, why not just call your isp and ask whats up? If it's not them, they might be able to help point you in the right direction. Ask if they have any content filters set up. Or if the ip address of your site is blocked, or the domain etc.

Before you do anything though, reset your modem, and if you have a adsl line unplug the phone line from the modem at the same time. For me DNF won't resolve until I reset my adsl like every other day, and my current isp wanadoo sucks ass.

I already tried the modem stuff...
I unpluged everything and pluged it back in but no change......

I think i will have to call them
