Namecheap funds and any suggestions

Hi,

I registered 2 domains 2 months back. I just logged in today and i can see the fund in my account Earned Amount - $9.00

What does this mean? can i use this for registering domains?

I am not sure how i earned this money? does it come from parking? because, i haven't modified any nameserver and other settings.

any suggestion is greatly appreciated. thanks.

It sounds like NameCheap is sharing their parking revenue with you. They must be one of the few if not only registrar that does this. I've never heard of this before though, so not entirely sure.

Not 2 months back. one regged on 01/14/2007 and another on 02/09/2007.

I dont know it for sure but I do not think Namecheap pays for parked domains. Are you sure you havent sold a domain for US$ 10 (minus US$ 1 Namecheap's commission = US$ 9)?

Once the waiting period has passed, the earned amount will become eligible for withdrawal. Withdrawable amount represents the amount that can possibily be withdrawn from your account.

I'm not namecheap customer but I think that there should be something like "billing history" so maybe there you will get your answer

i had gone through the billing history already and could view only 2 transactions which was for purchasing 2 domains only. Thanks.

Once it is eligible for withdrawal, yes.

But if you really want to know where the funds came from you your best bet is to contact Namecheap, but be aware that you might risk to have them withdrawn in case of an error.

it shows in withdrawal amount. but, when i try to register a domain, it says you don't have enough funds in my account.
