Good for new registrations only.

Been quite some time since I have seen namecheap have a renewal coupon.

Unless you have 50 or more domains needing renewal.
Then you ask them.

Renewal discounts are rare with registrars. They give you transfer and new reg discounts as a promo to get you in the door. Once you have transferred or regged a domain there, they already have your business, no reason to give you renewal discount. They have to make money somehow.

.info on Namecheap at very low price: temporary or fixed price?

I noticed namecheap.com offers .info domains for 2.99 USD. Even though I know .info isn't amongst the expensive extentions to begin with, this is still very cheap as usually I see them being sold for anything between 8 and 15 bucks.
Is this offer at Namecheap their fixed price for .info domains, or is this some temporary promotion?


PS: their prices for .co.uk, .me, .eu and more are also quite interesting. Won't comment on the registrar themselves as I never tried them so far.

GoDaddy is the best place IMO to register any domain, not just .info.

We have them cheaper than namecheap. With all the people not wanting to leave the giant its hard to get new people on board. It doesn't matter that we have the same data bases in the US and Europe either. No wonder G*daddy could afford to donate 1/2 million to Haiti releif. Its like *bay also. People like one thing and will stay with it. I sell on both eb*d and *bay. The price will be lower at eb*d but people will still buy at *bay. People hate change. Or alot of them anyway.
