%%- List .name domains that you own here~!

We would have a list of namepros members' .name collection listing, lol.
And do state that if it is developed? :p

I will start with: -
http://Primary.Name - Developed as Web Ranking Topsite
Rare.name
Nasty.name
Catch.name
Origin.name
Display.name

:] Would like to know what others own...
Maybe we shall team up and make .name famous.

I was thinking around those lines .... however if I for example reg all the possibilities then i reg personal names would that count as cybersquatting especially if i dont/never/and will never sell?

Most likely not "cybersquatting" per se, especially if you don't buy a "celebrity's" name and park them with ads that are based on that celebrity's name.

Keep them generic, and you will be much safer.

And just as a note, I do like the idea :imho:

i am very curious to know is .name sales any good NOT that I sell BUT its potential/traffic/ etc etc. Anyone can please just give me an idea as I havent been paying too much attention to .name since the launch.

There have been a couple of interesting threads on the subject:
http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=23776&highlight=.name
http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=22105&highlight=.name
http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=23776&highlight=.name

My POV, in a nutshell, is that there are a few, well-defined niche categories that may have some commercial and/or other useful potential for .name:

1) Personal Names- lists of names for expectant parents to run through. ie Baby.name and NewBaby.name. First.name commercial tie to Infant, Maternity Products, etc
2) Geneology/Family Trees- ie Family.name
3) Locating People- ie Alumni.name SchoolMates.name
4) Identification/Tracking ie IDs.name
5) Domain Name related
a) Services: Register.name, Hosting.name, BackOrder.name Analyze.name
b) Definitions: PendingDelete.name, ClientHold.name

I'm sure there are other areas and subcategories, but off the top of my head those are the areas that I recall having the most intuitive fit w/ the namespace.

I was thinking around those lines .... however if I for example reg all the possibilities then i reg personal names would that count as cybersquatting especially if i dont/never/and will never sell?
That's a tough call. How would they be used. Would it be possible for everyone named Buster to access the site and meet other Buster's. If Buster.name was taken and inactive, I don't know if one could define the owner as being a cybersquatter, however, I wouldn't want to the one to P/O a bunch of guys named Buster.

I've got one 1/2 developed: NewBaby.name I'm also high on Safeguard.name for security/identity theft and Autographs.name for collectors.

I think I'd pass on GreekMythology.Name, as well, on second blush. :hehe: I remember your thread concerning your difficulty w/ them yoshiwara, and I too, have had difficulty w/ them. You are borrowing a quote which was a moment in time. As I recall, there was one day left to reg 25 free .name domains and I threw together a quick list, as many others here were doing. There was a carnival atmosphere surrounding the whole affair. It's hard to pass up free registrations.
