So I have regged ezmediahost.com and it is up and running (I established my own server). The olny problem is that I do not know how to set up mail for my server. I want to stoll be able to use [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] but since I can't setup a mail server (or rather I don't know how to), I need an alternative. Is there a service that has a mail server? aka. support@ezmediahost is still support@ezmediahost, no redurections b/c I want all mail to come and go from exmediahost.com.

Thanks for any input!

Your host should have a "catchall" feature. Ah I think I misunderstood. Sounds to me like you want to forward and send from a different domain? You could probably set it up via SMTP. Why not just forward all mail to one address and send from that address. Seems to be the easiest solution..

Well i'd like to do either of two things. The best solution is to have a mial server on my current webserver but I don't know how to set it up and neither does anyone else it seems...

If it is possible I'd like to keep the mail accounts separate, also forwarding to one account would cause all sent messages to be from [email protected] rather than [email protected]

What operating system does your server run on?
unix/linux variant? there are lots of mail servers that you could establish on your server.
windows? only a few choices last time I looked.
Which http server are you using?

If you have a server set up to run as a web server then it is more likely than not to have some sort of mail software in there somewhere, you just need to find out what it is ( eg Qmail ) and enter the relevant MX records in your DNS system ( I assume you are also running a DNS ).
If you can give us more details on the server we might be able to help more. In my opinion it is best to set up the mail on your server, using a third party mail system could result in problems ( especially as any cheap options are likely to be used by spammers and hence will be on black lists ).

Wishing you all the best.

Sorry but I've only ever used LINUX systems so can't help you with that, but someone here should have used it and will hopefully help.

All the best.

Assuming that you have used xampp setup. Would suggest that Mercurymail isn't your best bet for a mail server anyway 'cause of security problems.
Take a look at PostCast server. I have never used it myself but I understand that it is a very simple setup and more secure than MercuryMail.
