Name on account issue?

Sold a domain via ebay, my listing clearly stated that the buyers paypal and godaddy account information must match exactly. Buyer paid but sent godaddy information with a different name. The address, phone # and the rest all matched but the first and last name were different. Possibly a partner of his.

I fear the buyer will ask for a refund because the domain was not pushed into his account if I were to push it. So I sent him an email and asked him to create a new account (godaddy) which matched the buyers paypal account information. Otherwise I will need to contact ebay for assistance.

What would you do? Any advice? I'm currently waiting for his reply now.

Just got his reply, he gave me the buyers godaddy account info which matched his paypal info.

I guess he and a partner are useing the same ebay account or something. I dont know, but you can never be too safe imho.

This way I now know the actual person who paid for the domain is receiving the domain into their godaddy account.

It's always best to make sure the proper info is given for eBay transactions involving PayPal. They have a tendency to side with the buyer otherwise, should a dispute be opened. You did the right thing.
