Major GoDaddy Push Problem

When I try to push a dotcom domain (VJFA) to a buyer (from Ebay) using the option of Use details from specified customer account I get this message. His account number and email (a .ws) seem OK.

When I tried to push by entering new details, using either his Godaddy email or his Paypal email, the buyer claims that Godaddy doesn't send him a transfer email.

Worse, the buyer is uncooperative and becoming belligerent (there goes my perfect Ebay feedback). He doesn't read my messages, and simply insists that I should be able to push the name

I have spent over an hour with Godaddy on the phone (calling from Japan), and it still hasn't been remedied.

Does anyone have any experience with this, or any ideas?

I'd appreciate any help. Stuff like this makes me really not want to bother with cheap domain names.

I remember a similar problem a while ago and got the same error message - it was something to do with the fact that the recipient didn't have proper contact details in their Godaddy account and therefore were invalid for the whois update.

In the end I pushed the domain by checking the option to keep the same details (i.e. mine) for the whois record and told the recipient to update their account and the whois as soon as possible after they received the domain.

Not sure if this is the same problem you're experiencing but hope it helps!

Sounds like a problem and maybe you should politely offer a complete refund. IMHO you are risking a chargeback at paypal anyways if buyer is already using false whois info. Better to take a hit on your rep than to be taken. Most people have a couple negatives on ebay as long as you're mostly positive it won't matter much.

This should work or enter new contact details. Be sure the buyer knows to change the whois/admin info for the domain. I have done it several times.

.ws

The problem is that the user has a .ws email on the account. I encountered the same problem and it would only go through to keep the current contact details (must be some type of glitch in godaddy's system)

Thanks all. I pushed with my details. If he doesn't pick up the name, I'll just refund. The same guy is asking 21 million dollars (yes, 21 million) for a quickie website he knocked together, so it's not like there's a lot of hope for a good outcome here.

Appreciate the help.

The less you have to do with this bloke the better......If the push doesn't work, give the f****er back his money, and scram.
