Start by centering the logo, then add some visuals to the categories. New Posts/No New posts, should be indicated by a cellphone, you're also missing a favicon.
Freshen the template up a bit, the red is a bit too dark.
Other than that, it's a decent forum, but nothing spectacular at this time. Think about what your target group/users would want to see on your site, maybe even poll them on your 5 best ideas and let them give you an idea of what to add. Whether this is content, new boards, images or SMS/TXT messaging built into the forum,...
