domain mycopies.com and mycopies.net $??

Wondering what these might be worth? I was offered $3500 for both. I have had the name for years and planned on making a business out of it providing copying services to organizations. Anyways, I may just sell...any thoughts?

I forget where I read it, but there was recent story on companies using catchy domain names in their TV and Magazine advertising to 1. be able to better track their advertising efforts and 2. be able to outsource development to design firms and not give them access to their main company website. I can see FedexKinkos or OfficeMax buying MyCopies.com and using it for this purpose. $3500 is certainly a good offer for a reseller, but the name has a lot of end-user potential that just may be worth holding out for.

Mycopies.com is really good. I agree that it has some good end user potential and worth more than $3500. It's hard to say how much an end user would pay for something like that but I do think more than $3500.

Someone else told me that Kinkos might like this site as well. I have no idea how to send a proposal to them or staples or officemax. Sounds like the general concensus is that I should hold out on the $3500 offer????

Well if you have plans in the future with this domain name.. i would reject the 3,500 offer as the domain is not so valuable. Also, if you dont want to sell right away, you can also reject the offer. Maybe you can sell it to an end-user with more than that.
