My SnapNames backorder going to auction?

I backordered a domain name on SnapNames a few weeks ago, and the name has currently switched over to pending delete status. I logged into my SnapNames account to check on the order and in the status section it says that an auction is starting in a few days. Does this mean that someone else has put a backorder in for that domain? Or are they just waiting to see if any other backorders come in before it deletes? I'm just wondering if it is still possible for me to get it at the $69 backorder price? I do not believe that this is a name that is usable to very many people. It's quite a long domain and is very specific to my business, so I was sure that I would have been the only backorder.

Yup.

If no one else bids on it, you could.

Don't be. There's always someone else out there that may want a name others want, especially if they see that someone (you in this case) made a bid for it.

If I put a backorder in, doesn't that mean I already have a bid placed for $69? So, wouldn't the other people who backordered it also have bids in for $69? I'm a little confused as to how this works.

If you were the first one to backorder it at $69, and no one else bid higher, you'd get it. But if some one out bid you with $70, and you, or any other backorderer, didn't out bid that, they would get it.

So, if they automatically bid $70 at the beginning of the auction, they would get it immediately? Or would I have the chance to outbid them?

Nevermind. I misread the last part of your response.
