Hi,
I am in the situation that I have backordered a domain "LLLLL.com" at Snapnames.

Last month when i placed the order, the date which Snapnamed showed for the backorder auction to begin was 23. sept.

I have waited for a month for this date, and when the day came, I logged in to Snapnames, and got a chok.

Now the dates says that it will begin the backorder auction 19 oct. how can this be?

Is it because Snapnames thinks its a good domain, and there wasnt enough that participated?

I really lost my trust in Snapnames now, anybody who has been through similar thing?

Thanks for you opinion.

I backordered a domain one month in advance, yet it is still sitting in my order basket, and its date is still: Releases on: 24-Sep-2007
SnapNames has been a buggy hell lately. Just look at the $100,000/domain registration fees here: http://manage.snapnames.com/
If there is any good alternative to SnapNames, then please post a link!

I Asked Them

I asked snap about this very same issue before. Their response was that, although the deletion date is stated, they can't guarantee that the domain's original registrar will release the domain on time because some registrars are willing to give the registrant more time to redeem the domain than others. It seemed like a reasonable explanation to me.
