Hi, :)

The site entitled "The Garden of eNigma" is my personal
website and online portfolio. It's a collection of my simple
website designs (personal). The index and the rest of my designs
are very simple hosted for free by freewebs.com and cabspace.com
for I don't have a credit card to buy real domain and webspace.
I welcome any comments/opinions about the design and anything
about my website.

Note: The clock there has no real purpose at all other than for decorative :p

I like it, the design is quite interesting and unique. Although the color may seem to look dull but it matches well with the overall feeling.

Very well designed and I like the unique layout. The one thing I would suggest is centering the site. On my wide screen monitor it is over to the left quite a bit.

hmm. I must say I don't agree with the people above. I think that grey is a very nice colour to use in websites if done right, but in this case the grey dosen't work well. There is no real contrast there and the colour chosen is a little washed out. I also dislike the lack of colour on the site, I think it would be better more as a graphic "gothic" site with maybe more photoshop work.

Are you just beginning in this? I think I can tell by the domain name (which isn't really professional for a portfolio). I think it is a good try for a beginner, or relatively new person, but I still suggest stick to colours.

ps: the clock is sick though! loving the font

I was working in gray mode for the graphics in this design and I didn't test for any background-color or images
that will match the color of the images used in the layout. I will try colors other than white and by doing this I need
to edit all the images in the layout. I really agree that I need to give more photoshop work in my design.

Yes, I'm still a beginner for this kind of art.

Thank You :) About the centering, I still don't know how in a three-column layout and I'm still expirementing and doing
some readings about the three fluid column design/layout. Maybe I'll give it a margin left/right auto and a position the background
image at the center a suggestion I heard from another person. I should try that :p

Bump:

what about this revised edition? Please tell me if everything is centered regardless of
what type of screen resolution. :)

now, why would you make your webpage like that? I would have thought that it would be better to first use put an outlining table round the whole page:
Code:
<table>
  <tr>
    <td width="100">COLUMN 1</td>
    <td width="500">COLUMN 2</td>
    <td width="100">COLUMN 3</td>
  </tr>
</table>

and then just encompass it with "center" tags:
Code:
<center>
<table>
...
</table>
</center>

That will center the whole thing, it also means that anyone who decreases the width of their browser will not get the overlapping. :)

Regards
Tom

Good looking design and a nice unique layout. The clock even though has no real purpose, is good enough and decorative.

I agree with you. The clock, i assume, is a place filler, one of the best ones I have seen. Believe me some wierdos put pictures of their cats and daughters up for spacefillers on a website, which is OK, but then again if you want a professional and business website, that is not the way to go.. This one is much a better filler, and although they could be better, graphicaly, the meaty borders are also a great way to fill excess space.

I like it! :)
