My friend Stephen cheated his way through life

For as long as I can remember my friend Stephen has been a loser. At age 24 he dropped out of his Community College and has since been living at home basically making a slob out of himself. He has lost countless girlfriends because of his habit of getting drunk every other night, and has been pretty much the typical slacker. I always assumed that he’d end up working minimum wage at a gas station or convenience store somewhere.

I hadn’t seen him for a few years and pretty much just forgot about him. The other day was a big surprise when he came to visit, driving up in a new BMW and offering to take some other friends and I out for dinner at a restaurant downtown. There was an air of wealth around him, and the entire night he seemed to be throwing money around like it was nothing. After questioning him him and pestering him about it he confided in me that he bought a college degree from the website http://www.-edited-.com , listed it in his resume, and was hired by a big marketing firm in a nearby city. Stephen told me that the “university” he got his degree from even verifies it as legit in case an employer ever enquired about it.

Now this guy is pretty much set for life. He has a fiancé, is in the process of buying a home, and has buckets of cash coming in each month from his $85,000/year salary. Meanwhile I’m still in college, pretty much living in poverty. I kinda feel like I’ve wasted the last three years of my life studying and paying thousands of dollars out of my pocket for jack. :(

This is a bunch of bullshit. Do you guys think that what this website is doing is legal? Can anyone set up a University and sell degrees?

No way, that is definately illegal. If this guy is a slob how could he afford it, probably was earning something though. But when you see the copyright at the bottom of the site it leads you to believe that it isn't illegal because they have been in business since 1981. Also if your friend is the same age as you, couldn't they have worked out it is not legitimate because it would have taken him a while to acquire it yet you are still in college?

Nice marketing technique. :)

Would some moderator remove the website's address please? it's not really needed, IMO.

Interesting -- the name shown on the whois is "Benjamin Dover" (can you say "bendover"?).

Yup... a 1 post guy, and a domain less than 2 weeks old... registered by Benjamin Dover (Ben Dover). So I guess his friend got his diploma and made all this wealth in less than 8 days, assuming 'the other day' he saw his friend was yesterday.

Funny how cheating your way through life does not really work.It doesn't take long for the gig to be up.Less than one day in this case.
I've been around a bit and I have yet to see cheating your way around ever being successful. It just leads "slackers" and "losers" to nowhere good--and to one post wonders.

I kinda feel like I’ve wasted the last three years of my life studying.

It would appear it has done little good. :imho:

Lol, I knew right away that this post is only for a backlink. And therefore I did not click the link.
