An old friend is missing

Hey guys,
If any of you are religious at all, I'd appreciate your thoughts & prayers for an old friend.

On Saturday he was at Wal-Mart talking to his girl friend on his cell phone. He got to the check-out line, and told her he'd call her back once he was in his car. He hasn't been seen since.

On Sunday, a missing person's report was filed, and his home church & his family are just continuing to wait, hope and pray.

I haven't seen him in a few years, but I just heard about it from a friend of mine, and then called the church to get more details.

This is pretty serious. They have 1 or 2 pretty weak leads, but that is about it...

Video cameras in Wal-Mart confirmed that he was there, and even around the check-out area. But Wal-Mart doesn't have any creditcard transactions on record or anything. He just disappeared.

Thanks, guys for the responses. We got a phone call late last night. He has been found.

We don't know many details. What we do know is that he was beaten up pretty badly, & dazed down in Atlanta - a couple hours away. Somehow he either got away from his abductors or they let him go, and he was conscious enough to call the police.

This is incredible - I was braced for the worst news. He's safe now!

I am honestly glad he survived this ordeal! Hopefully who did this will be prosecuted, while your friend recovers quickly from his injuries. Any idea what those guys had against him or was this merely a random act of violence? Keep us updated, and congratulations on your friend's safe return.

Oh what a relief! Bruises and cuts will heal and fade, but the pain of losing someone dear to you never goes away. I am glad for you and all that know him that he has been returned to you. I hope that they can gather enough information to get whomever did that to him.

Never take anyone or anything for granted... in the blink of an eye it can all be gone.
