About a week/week and a half ago I started domaining. Today I got my first e-mail from a buyer interested in purchasing one of my domains. Surprisingly, it was for one of the first domains that I bought. However, I now believe to domain be junk that I got from the general newbie mistake of buying a billion domains that a new person thinks will sell. That was clue number one.
The e-mail contained no good contact info (e-mails, phone numbers, company names, etc.) And that was clue number two.
I decided to Google the "broker's" name and it showed nothing. I then Googled the actual text of the e-mail. Many articles on scams with very similarly worded messages appeared. It was disappointing to see those, to say the least.
On the extreme off chance that it is not a scam I emailed back saying that there is still intent to sell. All transactions would be done through Sedo, and that I would need her company information and initial offer.
So, yay, for not falling for the scam, I guess...sigh
