Hello to all,

www.pricefinder.mobi

I would like to anounce the release of my site PriceFinder.mobi, is a search engine for prices. You can use it to find prices on any article you want on mayor stores across the US.

I have been develop it for several months, trying to improve the algorithm, and now is finally out!

I would really like for you all to give a review, and test it, before I promote it. So I can find any bug, or improve the service.

This is my baby, so please be honest and tell me what you think of it.

Shop directly on your mobile using PriceFinder.mobi!

Best regards to all,

I like it. Great idea. I only have one problem. Could you add the search bar to the top of every page so you don't always have to go back to the home page to do your searching. Congrats on your site.

Looks great, works great, but doesn't give me the ability to search by the city that i'm in. If i could search for (example) Xbox360 Assassin's Creed Las Vegas, i'd like to know where i can get the game for the best price in the city.
The true nifty development would be to use the GPS function that almost all cell phones have built in these days (Sprint anyways) and serve results based on the geo location of the cell phone user.

I'm not sure if that's a possibility, but that would actually really be revolutionary. ;)

Yes I know what you mean, I was thinking in adding search for products based on ZIP code. That would be a nice geo location feature to add.

I would like to know what you think of the email functionality, because I've design the site for the user to look for what they want on their mobile, and send it by email, and once at home, make the purchase. So the email function is very important.

akc nice job - Im curious about some functionality - I followed through a few links on random items and am curious if 1.) are they only Amazon results? and 2.) are the final product pages mobile (im looking on a PC so dont know if its switching based on user browser)

thanks and again, nice job...

email functionality is always great. It's definitely a must have. I would take it one step further, though. Every cell phone user has an email address provided by their carrier. Most cell phones contain the email address of the user in their setup. All you'd have to do is ask the user whether he wants an auto generated email that's sending the search results.
At the same time, ask yourself; When do you most likely use your cell phone? While you're out. Why would you wait until you get home to make the purchase? If i go to the length to look up a product on my cell/mobile, then i have all intentions of buying what i'm looking for. (some may just use it for quick price checks) If you had the "Geo" feature, the user could go straight to the source and buy the product AND still email his home address for the case that he/she wants to retain the product for later purchase.

I think you're on to something with your project, you're just not all the way there yet. Don't stop developing though, with more and more people relying on cell phones as sole means of phone conversation, your pricefinder.mobi could become THE premier price engine for .mobi.

1) Yes, for now there are all Amazon results. For now.
2) No, I'm sorry, they are PC pages. Still trying to improve this.
