Wow, great news about the re release of .mx domains. I think this has huge potential considering the population in mexico is 100 mil. Those who already have a .com.mx or .org.mx domain can pre register teh same domain in .mx extension. Luckily I registered a few months back these domains, please tell me the best in order please:

see.com.mx
ear.com.mx
war.com.mx
won.com.mx
cuentas.com.mx (accounts in spanish)
cesta.com.mx (basket in spanish)
cestas.com.mx (baskets)

how did you get this code, or how did you get it to work? any help is appreciated as this would make a huge difference. thanks

Nope, I tried that code yesterday, and it worked.

this was actually the second code i tried that didnt work. the other was a save 15% and that one could not have been expired because i got it from answering a survey. so i had been under the assumption that coupon codes did not work for .mx renewals

Yesterday, I saw that happybirthday.mx was available and registered it. I wonder if it was a good buy or not. I know that its in English and not Spanish but most country extentions of happybirthday seem to be taken as well.

Agreed! A couple of months ago Name.com made a great discount on .MX ($19.99), but that absolutely lasted too short. Current prices go definitely against the extension's rise.

I think the .mx registry is definitely using a wrong strategy. Especially if they want more Mexicans to use the extension.

Even in some of the richest countries of the world you can get the local ccTLD for about the same price as a .com, and that has certainly helped registrations grow healthily.
