A few weeks ago, I posted a threat in this forum asking if there's such a thing called the MSN post-indexing delay. By that, I was asking if there is a delay of sorts between MSN indexing your website and MSN actually placing it in the appropriate ranks.
Well, I'm happy to be able to report that such a delay exists! Or, at least, my limited experience would seem to indicate that it does. One of my websites was indexed about a month ago by MSN, but would not show anywhere in MSN ratings. Today, I suddenly got a whole bunch of AdSense clicks on that website. Intrigued - as that website normally does not generate any visitors at all - I checked my AwStats and discovered that I started getting a fair amount of traffic off MSN. Intrigued even more, I did a MSN search for some of the keywords used to locate my website and found out that my website is ranked No. 1 among some 3.6m results for that particular keyword!
This experience seems to suggest that a MSN post-indexing delay does exist - that, or perhaps there's another explanation that I'm not aware of.
