MSN and PayPal Hacked!!! WTF?

I try to log onto msn today and it doesn't work. I mean sure I've been using the same password for msn only for like three years but still. How could this have happened though? I log in to find a paypal email saying I requested a password change and it was read. I log into paypal fine but it's not like I have any money in there... $18 being transferred from bank but still that's not that much. I doubt I have a keylogger but I guess I should check...

What do you think I should do? Scan my comp of course but I think I should change my paypal password and questions. Jeeze...

First Get a good Spyware program

Then Disconnect your computer from the internet...

Scan your computer (deal with anything)

Change all passwords all questions

You can talk wiht MSn and if you got proof they might restore your account to you

watch your friends/siblings

Are you sure it wasn't a phishing email? How could you log in if Paypal say your password has been changed?

I changed my msn pass no problem (god bless alternate emails).

And it didn't say my pass had been changed... it was an email saying that someone tried to change it and that click the link to fill in the info to properly change it... they needed some bank info so that's why it didn't get changed.

You got suckered into clicking a fake Paypal link. Avoid clicking on email links, particularly those linking to sites with your financial info like Paypal, ebay, amazon, etc. In fact, I'd do it right now and change passwords while there's still time. Instead, type in the url manually or use bookmarks.

disconnect from internet and run a spyware destroyer and scan your computer .. and change all of your passwords and question ... or if you are a person like me reformat the window ... i do it every year sometimes twice a year

both gmail and msn are hacked

and i had like 200 critical bugs with ad aware... havent scanned in a while.

Well I phoned msn and they were so nice but couldn't help me over the phone, only online. I also tried to contact google over the phone but they don't have live support so I'm doing this through other less used email accounts. God this is so inconvenient.

No no no it was an email that they send when you REQUEST a password change. I didnt click on the email or anything but he couldnt change it since he needed my bank info...

Why and how did you hack those accounts? This is a major inconvenience
and I know you tried to hack my paypal account as well... not worried
about that since there are no funds on it right now. So anyway is
there any chance I can get my accounts back please? There is nothing
valuable on either but I have all my contacts and everything on both.

:imho: my advise is not to talk with suspected hackers as they might be getting information about you on your headers, just ignore it and open another account. he/she will just pissed you more w/ sarcastic replies.

and besides what can be of used to him if the account has no funds, maybe you have "secret" admirer out there just to piss you off.

if im in your same situation, i'll be pissed off or more as well, even the companies themselves which you hold your account for years, doesn't seem to care if they lose you.

try the fbi, bbb.org how about Canadian republic police? oh im panicking now i can remember this situation that happened to me when my stormpay and egold got hacked too can anybody helped in here? anyone got connection with gmail, msn?

when he/she responded can you strip his/her ip from his/her headers? im sure he/she could be using a proxy of some sort to reply to your emails sarcastically. if 2 or 3 days will pass from this your account is all lost, however bbb from my experience will not reply they say they will reply within a month, too much damage have already been done.

downloading hijackthis and running it on your computer and copying and pasting the logs here on this thread could make me feel not paralyzed on this situation, others can help out with the analysis of your hijackthis logs and see a suspect from there, but i agree the priority is reporting this so you can regain your accounts back.

I'm communicating with him through email. He suggested contacting microsoft and google and I replied to him telling him my situation. I know it's not a good idea to converse with hackers but maybe he's a nice hacker? I don't have any important info to him but its important to me...

I've got him on msn lol... were iming eachother this is so weird... wish me luck...
