.mp3 Idea...

I got a crazy idea that could work.

Im tiered btw so this could sound silly, :lol:

Would it be possible to set up a TLD that ends in .mp3? I think this would be great for tracks ect. Example:

Eminem.mp3

There would obviously need to be a standard of typing tracks, example:

Eminem-Encore.mp3 ( Artist - Title )

This way it would be easyer for people to download tracks and the artists themselves could keep track on what there selling. Obviously the artist may charge for downloads but it could work.

Whats your opinions?

Sounds like a really good idea! I know that new.net has already done this, but in order to view their domains you need to install a plugin which is bundled with spyware.

I Agree with you both, but whoever has the money to do this would make there money back easily. I know if i ever won the lotto id consider this.

there is also things like .wma and a whole lot of other things. i don't know if it would workbecasue there are HEAPS of others out there
