Just finished a move of residence and business up the California coast to a new town, finally got cable service and am back up (at least cyber-wise). Whew! Knew it wasn't gonna be fun, was prepared as one could be, but still... What a physical, mental and emotional drain! Yow! The keyboard, my fingers and brain all seem a little strange at the moment, so just practicing, looking for the flow, (there is one, isn't there?). Lived in my Topanga home for 20 years, Love where I am now, am glad to be on this side of the move, all is well... just looking for coherence and sayin' hi. See y'all around.
Anyone else gone through a big move?

yup - i have moved quite a few times when I was growing up - my parents used to love buying a house - redocorating it and then moving to a new house so I guess I will always have the 'moving' bug in me as well.

But it can be a pain in the ass - especially big moves - keep smilin Michael

I have to move at the end of the month - after two years, the landlord wants his house back at the end of the lease :'(

Haha! While growing up my fathers job precipitated a move about every three years, and I used to look forward to it. Clean the slates, start out fresh, new sights, people etc. 20 years is, by far, the longest I've stayed put in one place.
For me, the purpose of this move was more a need to get away from the big city and to get into a smaller town setting, slow down the pace a little, and get a little more space for my studio at more agreeable rental. Also, just a general need for a change. Wanted to move while the energy was still there, and there was time left to re-establish.
On another note, "the flow" that I was feeling a loss for the other night seems to be coming back. After spending a few hours a day at the computer/online, and than being totally cut off for a week+, it is a rather odd feeling "firing-up" again, if you can relate.D-:
