DomainTops appraises these at $45,000 and $35,000-- obviously a drastic overestimation. I registered them because of their keyword popularity but they don't have a specific market meaning. What do you think they're worth?

Are these worth anything?

Very good names indeed,
Although they are with overestimated marketing usage, not so concrete which
can be offcourse either + or -.

Especially for the .com name with a good advertising you are almost 100% shure that you have to be paid at least 1000$

Best,
Bob :p

How do I advertise them? What would you suggest?

I'm parking all of my domains at parkingsite.com now (although the nameserver change hasn't propagated yet) and hope to generate a bit of revenue until I can sell.

What's a good "marketing plan"? I'm new to this.

Low xx undeveloped for the pair; I don't have any particular development ideas for you on these.

Rocketfly,

Could you explain your valuation? I'm not disagreeing with you at all, but I'm new to this and would like to learn more about appraisals. Why is there so much variation? What do you look at, specifically? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, there are a number of factors to look at. Firstly, I think it's important to consider the specific market and the possibility of end users. The name isn't a top level generic -- it's a phrase, and one that doesn't necessairly translate easily into a brandable .com. Secondly, I consider other factors like Overture (searches for terms on Yahoo, etc. last month) to see a "base" SEO value, etc. Thirdly, I always consider trends and PPC rates -- I don't see this necessarily in your favour, nor against you. In sum, I think it could potentially be a nice site, but it would take some work at branding/development. My evaluation is of the domain intrinsically and basic development considerations. Of course, if you put a lot of work into a name -- take MySpace for example, you can exponentially increase its value through branding, traffic, etc. Thus, appraisals are really to give you an idea of base value for the number, and, as everyone has seen, through hard work the sky can be the limit. Further, everyone has different perceptions of value, so is there is exact number -- that is only determined by a sale. Best of luck %%-

Mid xx IMHO. Morepopular sounds a bit awkward. Mostpopular.com is worth several figures more.
