Great list - thanks for putting it together.

I find it interesting that so many names are missed by DNJournal, Sedo, et al, with regard to TV sales. I personally was the purchaser in three of the deals mentioned above, but would suggest that there were some other sales that just disappeared from view (such as US.TV, TouristS.tv, etc).

One thing I feel we certainly need if Tv is going to progress further than it has already is a verifiable record of sales. NDA's are much touted, but unless they can be proven as a sale (even without the full details being released) then the whole system is up for mockery.

Perhaps the MORE interesting aspect to TV sales is not the aftersales market but the large number of corporations and entrepreneurs that have gone straight to enom and picked up names whose yearly premium is WAY more than any of these sales. Sports.TV at $100,000 a year comes to mind, and although I am sure a massive discount has been factored in, the reality is that it is most likely to be far more than the highest price paid in this list.

Sometimes we can't see the wood for the trees. We are all looking for massive sales figures, when away from this, people like Discovernow has commited $10,000 a YEAR, every year, on just one name alone. Only seven names in the list above are of a higher figure.

I personally have to pay several thousand to keep my top premium afloat every year, but, compared to the massive costs in other areas (coding, filming, travel, etc) these costs really do pale into insignificance.

I think we are so close to the aftermarket at times, that we just don't realise how big the .Tv market actually is - and how much larger it is quietly becoming. Think about it, would you really consider paying $100,000 a year to own a name? Well, some people already have.

Don't be misled - there is money in internet TV - and as more and more media corps are starting to hurt from a reduction in advertising revenue, they are going to fight hard to take as much ground in the emerging markets as they can. Internet Tv IS the biggest market of the moment and there is NO better brand for this market than .TV or TV.com.

AmCy,
I think the correct translation is 'Cheap Travel' in Spanish.
