Do we have a Moniker rep in house?
(rant removed by NN)

I am getting an error msg when trying
to set the name servers. So I contact
Moniker and tell the I'm getting this
error screen......this is their resolve.

I've tried to speak to service on the phone
but they are now using a "soft female asian
voice" that I can't understand. Did your
marketing firm explain that the "soft asian
female voice" has to be understandable in
order for it to calm your customers?

So setting names servers requires a team to
do now? A Senior representative for review?

Come on ..... hire some English speaking reps
that can help us English speaking idiots.

They have never been the greatest, but they seem to be steadily getting less reliable. I recently paid for a time-sensitive transfer to Moniker, and simply nothing happened. Now I have trouble reaching them. They've messed up a few transfers. Never their fault, they say, but interesting how the problems never happen with any other registrar.

Too bad, since they are adding some nice sales features, but I am slowly moving my names out of Moniker.

I have always heard bad things about Moniker. Sorry your getting the crap end of the stick. All i can say is switch to another provider as soon as you can.

Well I've always heard great things about Moniker, and I've never had a problem there. Tho I've heard from many people that their support is going down the toilet.

Can I ask why you're calling them? Curious if you can't just use email or online support system. I've never had issue in that regard. I think in 10 years I've only have to call a registrar once and that was Godaddy with an SSL cert screwup.

You could try contacting oversee direct. Moniker accounts often have technical hitches especially with DNS and forwarding.

I've gone through the e-mail process and in doing so I had to open an account with oversea.net and then file a ticket. You guys saw the answer to my email inquiry. They simply re-told me what I told them. I'm getting an error report.

I then called and was walked through the process of setting name servers. Of course I explained that I had done the same thing. I received a completion message and all was good until the next day when I check and the domain was still sitting at moniker with it's default servers again.

I repeated the process over the next couple of days waiting the 24 hours they asked me to wait. Nothing so I called again. I get the "soft voice" That can't speak english, puts me on hold to because I asked for a seperviser.... she returned to tell me;

"We already help you in email" .... LOL, thats it? LOL. That's all the help you get?...you saw the email help she is speaking of. I think she basically refused to help me. And of course no supervisor available.

Just an FYI - There are times that Nameserver updates need to happen at the Registry level in-order for them to take effect.

Bari- I simply want a refund for a domain transfer that Moniker never processed. Any emails sent to moniker.com, the emails listed under "contact" on your site, are all sent back to me. When I click support, I am taken to Oversee support, which wants me to register, and then maybe, just maybe, I can submit a refund request???

Godaddy handles many times more transactions than Moniker, yet they answer the phone and have an actual email address. Email is simple, and costumer friendly. Why should I have to jump through all these hoops just to make a simple request?

Moniker is one of the most difficult registrars to work with, and is getting worse. Who does this new Oversee support system serve exactly? Certainly not your customers.

This is really too bad, as I used to like Moniker.

i went to logon and to my surprise the logon i tried doesn't work , and their retrieval for passwords is a nightmare , after a few goes it says wrong capcha code although you know it is correct , they really annoy me

Domainace - My apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced. The support system has recently changed/been updated. I'm sorry you find Moniker to be one of the most difficult registrars.

Bari- It was partially my mistake, and I was ranting as well. I appreciate you showing up here at NP. The problem was solved after support got back to me.

I want to like Moniker, but it has been difficult. It would help a lot if there was a support link on the page, and when I clicked it (while logged-in) I got an email as well as the option to open a ticket without registering a second time.

I hope they get things straightened out there, and thanks for your help.

Don't feel left out .... I'm still waiting to hear back from jrvygirl. I gave up waiting to
hear from Moniker.

Probably better off transferring out if setting
name servers is such an issue.

Stub - I'm sorry you're having issues with DomainSponsor however they do have support. Email them!

OK .... I want to thank Bari for jumping all over this issue.
If a single representative can sway a decision She has. If
Moniker has Bari I'll hang out for a while. Only because I
am confident if I have another issue I will find a resolve
with Bari's help.
