I am a newbie in domaining and I am curious what your thoughts on mobi typos? How can .com/.mobi typo sites/domains have any value if any??

it really depends on the typo. But for my money, I'm focusing on the real thing in .mobi

the value from typos is in the traffic it gets. .com names that are typos of popular keywords or sites could have huge traffic. Typos of mobi names would most likely be worthless right now since there would be no traffic.
