I noticed a few people are registering .mobi typos, and I was wondering how good of an idea that really is. The majority of .mobi addresses are going to be entered by keypad, so traditional typos such as googlw.com and microsofr.com aren't going to cut it. The only typos I see being worth the $ are commonly misspelled words. I saw someone registered cheeptickets.mobi, which is an example of this.

I think I'm going to give my friend a project to do for his programming class: a bulk .mobi checker/typo generator/keystroke counter script. Woldn't that be nice?

That would be very nice :hehe:

It's obvious that a typo on a mobile phone will be diferent than that from a keyboard, hope poeple keep that in mind when they reg .mobi typos.

I think mispellings is a better way to go. They will be the same no matter if its a normal keyboard, qwerty, or mobile phone keypad.

I would want to see some serious OVT for a mispelling before I regged one though. Otherwise, I would take one of the few good .mobi names left and thanks to you they are not hard to find!!! Love your lists, was going to reg a few from them but got beat to the punch by a matter of minutes on them :'(

Thanks for the compliment. I don't know why, but I just like making lists. I'm glad they actually help.

Just like everyone else, I've got a huge list of names I want to register, and after a while, if I still haven't found a way to afford them, I start letting them go in pieces.

One more thing about typos on phones...when I type on a keypad, I know I'm usually a lot more careful, mainly because if I screw up, I know I'll have to type it all over again. The mistake I usually make is not pushing, say, 6 enough times to get to an "O" and instead end up with an "N".

You're welcome. It is people like you, willing to share valuable information, that make me love this site! This really is a great community here. Wish I owned the site :hehe:

(I used to own the name prosites.com way back when, but let it drop when I joined the military. That was a mistake, I could image that name easily bringing in mid xxxx or more at this point.)
