Hey, I thought there should be a thread where users can showcase there newly acquired .MOBI domains!

I have my eye on a 6 letter word that is available for .mobi. An overture score of almost 91,000 for this word alone, thousands more for this word combined with other words. I really want to wait until general registration to gey any more .mobi. So everyone please stop registering until then. Thank you.

some of the names i've seen on sedo are just amazingly bad, wouldn't even be worth much as a dot com let alone mobi

Someone listed 280 "xr8d" domains on Sedo (approx. $17,000 in reg fees).. Here are some of my favorites:

For anyone who believes .MOBI will take off, there are some great domains still out there! For example, I just reg'd:

RANG.mobi
MDL.mobi ("music download")
DLM.mobi ("download music")
RTN.mobi ("ringtone")

The number of 3-letter domains still available is remarkable, considering the prices 3-letter .COMs command these days. If there's a big future for MOBI, I would think 3-letters would be huge at some point...

I went with Awg.mobi - my only reg.

Its short and most importantly the first letters
on the "294" keypad - 1 touch typing

I wonder how many people are registering "typos" thinking about only the QWERTY keyboard? Those aren't the typos that will be happening for .MOBI -- it'll be the situation where someone doesn't press the key enough times to get to the desired letter, so typos will be alphabetical. For example, a typo for "RING" would be "RHNG," not "RONG."

I think the 3 letter domains will be more profitable in the end. Easier for visitors to punch into there phones!

IRD.mobi (The .org sold for around $9k)
ITP.mobi (Lots of search results and nice sounding and letters)
MEH.mobi (Becoming a more popular expression via sms ect)
MYP.mobi (My Phone)
NSM.mobi (Nice sounding and letters, MSN backwards)
RGM.mobi (Nice letters, could mean Ringtones, Games Music)
CNM.mobi (Nice letters, typo for CNN)
RCH.mobi (Nice letters, could be used for SEA.RCH.mobi)

Yeah, I tried that too with the city I was born in. Oddly enough, though, it turns out that someone already took "NYC.mobi"!

But getting back to reality, I did just register one that should cover all the bases:

YOUAREHERE.MOBI

Not 3 letters, but kind of nice for the domain...I envision an instant self-locator kind of site. Now if only I had access to a satellite...
