I'm getting burnt out looking for these things, and gave away most of the rest of my "to buy" list this morning here on NP. (Okay, I did save a few of my favorite unregged ones, "just in case," but only because I couldn't bear to hand them over.)

After reading through some luxury travel and nightlife magazines/websites, I registered a few more .mobis for development and I know exactly what I'm going to do to "monetize" them:


UltraLuxury.mobi / UltraLux.mob / UltraLuxe.mobi
for high-end travel, etc.. maybe even feature other luxury items

MegaClub.mobi / MegaClubs.mobi
for niche search engine, travel, reviews, pix, etc... most of the megaclubs in miami, vegas, nyc, ibiza, etc... offer ticketing, party planning, etc

MartiniBar.mobi / MartiniBars.mobi
for niche search engine, travel, location-based, etc

CigarLounge.mobi / CigarLounges.mobi
niche search engine, travel, location-based, etc.
Plus I also bought Humidor.mobi & Humidors.mobi for retail/reviews

Each of the terms above was widely used in the print publications...

well worth the $17 reg-fees.

I live in Los Angeles and have been focusing on domains in the local real estate market, one of the most lucrative in the US.

WESTSIDEHOMES.MOBI

The idea being that when people are out cruising neighborthoods looking for houses a good broker could create some nice easy to access mobile sites on the domains.

This one is a bit more of a concept. LA is also home to most movie marketing in the US as well. This domain could be the basis of a biz to create mobile sites for all new movies that are releaseed, via sub domaining.

THEMOVIE.MOBI

You could sell these sub-addresses to each movie that comes out, for a small fee, say $5K (a pittance of the million dollars marketing budgets). You get someone with decent development experience for dotmobi and you could re-purpose the existing marketing content for a small screen site.

I like the "homes" mobis but they are a little long. Good keywords though!

The "themovie idea is...too...out there. There was an idea that tried, but really never took off. It was .us.com...that was an admitedly much better name than themovie.mobi. Sometimes you just gotta take some lumps. Good luck!

I can not tell you how much I really like that idea. You see so many different addresses when they show the previews. None of us could ever remember them all and they show for what.. 2 seconds???

Instead of: blahblah.sony.com, blahblahthemovie.com, blahblah.universal.tryto.rememberthis.com
You get the same addy that everyone will come to know as the place to go for movie previews/trailers... themovie.mobi.

I think the movie businesses would happily join in with a standard address for the previews and movie info. It would make it 200% easier for joe consumer to find the movie he's interested in. The price can be negociated later. LOVE the idea. Just freakin LOVE it.
