.mobi Mobi directories

I had learned some time ago when I was debating what route to take with a new internet business that directories can be big $ sites due to the backlinks.

Since mobi is in its fledgling stages would it not make more sense for people into domains and mobi sites to create mobi dir's so when more and more mobi sites are created the dir's started now would grow over time?

Whats your thoughts on setting up mobi dir?

Yes, you're 100% right, and, as a matter of fact, a member of this forum -- Vcool, is making very real money (~$500 monthly) off of his mobile directory, dir.mobi.

That site inspired me actually as I realized why couldnt I do that? I have quite a good idea I believe on a dir site that no one is doing yet. I secured over 40 regs that are very niche oriented and the premise is very conducive for mobi use. I dont want to say exactly what it is as yet until I get a beta going so when I do I look forward to any thoughts on it.
