Background Information

The site is a fan-forum for the new on the scene MMORPG Silkroad Online (http://www.silkroadonline.net). We have been online for only a few months and have racked up in that time over 950+ members and 8500+ posts. I consider this to be a large community so the revenue potential is fairly decent.

Revenue

Well, I’m running Bidvertiser on the site currently due to its pay via Pay Pal option and I have to say the revenue is disappointing. In total, I have earned just under $4 this month. No screenshot, take my word for it – It’s hardly worth lying about.

Have you tried running Adsense? Do you have a BIN or end date in mind?

No end date, when i get a decent offer.

I did try running adsense and i think i earned about $5 maybe a little over when we were smaller. I think the ad positioning is a little awkward maybe. The new owner (if sold) with a few re-positioning could probably earn a few bucks from this.

@ xlguy: The reason i am selling the site as im trying to fund my new project found in my signature. I am not keen to sell this but personally i am bored with the site now.

@ LordHaHa: Bid stands, I'll wait to see what other offers are pitched.

@ vphost: Yes the game is free. There is a cash shop function to keep the game alive. If you were looking for good promotion for the forums you could hold a contest to win a cash shop prize as they are gold dust in game.

@ siradio: There is one other Admin(tsen) and another moderator(dinnerbone) dinnerbone created a map especially for the site which can be found here: http://www.silkroadoffline.com/monster/. They don't know about the sale as of yet as im not 100% sure if i am deciding to sell. This thread was really looking for what i could get and if i get a satisfactory offer i may take it.

Disgruntled forum/community admins and moderators is something i've had problems with in one of my past purchases, so obviously this is something i'd want to be sure won't be an issue.
