Mixing Cyrilic letters and Latin letters

So I tried to register a mixture of Cyrilic and Latin letters at Namecheap and it refused to register it because I can't mix them.

Are there any registrars who would allow this?

I think it's a registry rule that you can't mix language scripts. Now what's the point of such names ?
