I'm wondering if those of you have developed topical mini-sites could give me a very rough guideline of what the daily earning potential through Google ads/affiliates would be for the following:

1. 3-5 page Wordpress topical/product sites
2. on keyword domains receiving a minimum of 500-1000 exact searches per day
3. many of these names are high value CPC's. (> $3-$5 CPC)
4. primarily dot com extension (with a few dot nets thrown in for good measure)
5. each site would be given a fairly professional look/feel with a nice logo/graphic design work
6. each site would have a sitemap, a privacy policy, and original relevant content

What i want to know is - are you guys able to make at least $1 per day from these types of sites??? and if so... how many months did it take you to get there?

Can someone throw some examples of live mini-sites at me that are doing $1 per day or more???

I have roughly 100 names that fit this criteria and my goal is to undertake development in the hopes of achieving $1 (or more - eventually) per day from each mini-site.

I'm not going to be unrealistic and expect much more than that, but before i undertake this project, i'd like to be fairly certain that i could average about a buck a day from each one.

Thanks for all of your input!!!

Your question is a rather difficult one to answer due to the enormous number of variables involved. The short answer to your question is, "yes, you can achieve those results."

I like the fact that your domains sound to be keyword rich and receive 500-1000 exacts per day. This is one aspect of mini-site development that I try to pay particular attention to in choosing names. Obviously, the key will be to get listed in G as quickly as possible and rank in the first page for your keyword. (unless you plan on paying for traffic)

Another standout of your "list" above is that you will be using original content. I think this is also key in not only achieving rank, but maintaining it as well. I like to shoot for no less than 60% original content and on high quality names I shoot for 100%. If I do use content I make sure to properly cite and link back to the original article and source which G prefers.

It also seems like G will be putting a higher weight on the speed of sites moving forward. So make sure your site loads fast and does not have too much "stuff" on it. Keep your content on topic and provide valuable information pertaining to the keyword for your domain.

Another little useful tip I found is that you need to prepare your "update" content in advance. What I mean by this is that when you are creating the site originally, write and extra 2 or 3 articles that you can publish on the site after the search engines pick it up. You want to show you are providing fresh content as well. If you don't do this in advance you may find yourself not "getting to it" when the time comes for updating. I know this has happened to me before...

It sounds to me based on your list of criteria that you have the makings of a solid mini-site portfolio. Will they each make a $1 per day? That remains to be seen, but the potential is certainly there.

I hope this helps.
