Cool name!

I cant help but think if you use this you're not going to be the only one notified.

Same reason I'll never type any domain I'm interested in at the top of NP. No offense, and it seems cool, but I'm not going to ever risk tipping more people off about a potential domain target. I don't even like doing too many who-is lookups on a domain.

I agree at first glance but I think given the large number of sophisticated players in the space, it is a false economy: choosing to pass on useful tools because you worry it might tip off others leaves you vulnerable to someone else who is already interested in the name getting an edge on you by using these tools.

For something like the NamePros search bar, sure, there is no value to an investor in searching for a domain there, even if there's no chance of it tipping anyone off because you don't gain anything from doing it. For a system that instantly notifies you on changes to the domain, that could be very valuable to know that information first.

You only have to look at expired domain name auctions to see how little interest there is in most domains. Our targets are either unique because nobody else shares our vision for the domain or our targets are not unique at all and we're competing with many others, in which case, any tool-based advantage we can get is valuable.

Ultimately, it is personal preference, so I'm not trying to convince you otherwise, and if being so guarded about your targets is benefiting your bottom line, that's great, just presenting an alternate way of thinking about this!

Michael has an honest reputation in the community.

Plus, it’s hard to believe he’d put that on the line to track a member's investing strategy.

Maybe he’ll chime in here.

Sav and Godaddy were notorious for having snooping where once a domain was searched, it soon got registered.

It even happened with me on Unstoppable where I made the mistake of saving a name I was interested in, only to find it got registered a week later when I searched for it again (first on Dynadot, then on UD).

Whoxy.com also shows recently searched names, so if you enter Ai.com, it will show up on the right hand side.

Looks pretty awesome. Some features you can get elsewhere for free, but I like that they monitor prolonged website downtime and domain redirects, which can indicate that the current owner does not need the name any longer even though it is not close to expiry.

Many tools have begin to pop up, even those Appraisal ones feel suspicious, maybe they harvest for our ideas.

I think it's a good idea to put some of the names you believe you wanted them and see how it goes from there :)

Hi all,

Apologies for the delayed reply.

I completely understand the concern about privacy and "tipping off" interest in domains. It's something I’ve thought about a lot while building this for 2 years.

To be clear: we do not share user data with anyone. Period. Even if multiple users track the same domain, each account is isolated and only sees its own tracking history and alerts.

Also, none of our free tools store queries in a way that can be accessed or reused.

I've built this as the tool I personally wanted as an investor, and maintaining trust is far more important to me than anything else.

Happy to answer any questions or go deeper on how things work.

I think it is a great tool. The only thing I would like to see changed as an investor is the ability to swap or remove more than one domain per month.

I appreciate the feedback. That's something I've wrestled with and I may change in the near future. 🙏
