I'm very late to the party of metaverse names. still managed to pick xMetaverse.crypto for a porn/adult version metaverse. and after seeing vulcanverse dotcom went for asgard.

probably won't pick up more as all the good ones are long gone.

I think maybe I’m confused about this whole thing . I thought Metaverse was equivalent to what we call our universe. And inside that universe are mini verses...planets and galaxies etc... Hence the reason I registered Metaversal names (assumed it would cover the entire scope of the metaverse like a universal remote can control all tv brands ) so would ppl really be creating a different type of verse or creating things inside of “The “ Metaverse. Like the NFT house that sold ..it was called Mars House.. would ppl call there estates MetaHouse or VenusVilla , AsgardVerse or AsgardAlley ?

I think the meta & Metaverse is good. I only registered Metaversal because there were no more good meta & Metaverse +word. Although it’s longer I Figured that was better than just trying to force words together and I have seen the word used . But if I had a choice between Metahomes & MetaverseHomes I’d pick MetaHomes .. but if it was a choice between MetaProperties and MetaverseProperties I’d pick Metaverse Properties

Yes, reminds me of when people were registering VirtualReality+Keyword.com , I bought and sold VR+keyword.com and made a mint. Now we are entering Virtual+Keyword.com era...

I honestly dont know. but I was under the impression that metaverse means like something like a parallel universe. a virtual world on top of the universe we live in.
so in my opinion it was something like different virtual worlds coexisting with each other... like our world compared to GTA game world (where some gamers really did an online protest in support of hong kong protests, instead of doing it in real world)
so I personally expect multiple virtual worlds existing with different themes or rules but all overlapping each other on top of our real world (think of like walking down a street and a virtual ATM popping up, PokemonGo style, from which you can actually buy cryptocurrencies)

so I see metaverse as the main category (or concept) and specific meta-universes (vulcanverse, decentraland etc) as subcategories or metaverses that coexist with each other.

of course this is just my understanding of it and I might be wrong about this.

I registered MercuryMansion.com ,MercuryManor.com and VenusVenue.com just in case someone wants to name their property in the metaverse after the planets

I think metaverse+word can work for some words that are concept-based. for example metaverserentals is a good name to have. a lot of potential use-cases for it.. renting virtual assets inside different metaverses.

"meta+word" works better for this approach as it can be used for non-metaverse things too so more potential buyers than metaverse crowd alone.

I like venusvenue.. good name. mercury manson also is a good one, some queen fans might want it for their freddie mercury styled mansion in metaverse lol

there is a big difference between using mythical concepts that are part of public domain (asgard or garden of eden) and using branded trademarks (metaverse or microsoft)
just like how you can name your restaurant Asgard Grill, but you probably can't name it Microsoft Grill.

Yes it could go either way it seems, bit risky selling trademarked domains then!

I also think the same thing that 'metaverse' is already registered trademark and may invent future UDRP problems.

How trademark system works for dictionary words?
Can I simply apply for trademark of "coin" and start a war for every *coin* domain on the interwebs?

I also wonder; a trademark approved and registered in UK can has rights around the globe?
