Why is it payments (plural)? Isn't payment (singular) easier and more valuable?
The meta+/p/a/y/m/e/n/t (.com .net and .co) is still on sale. Therefore, Facebook seems not to be interested in payment(s) domain.

Can't agree with you that singular is better in this situation. Anyway, I'm pointing out on already sold domains (meta p/a/y/m/e/n/t/s.co and meta d/a/t/i/n/g.net, both for mid 5-figures) and the fact that this guy most likely has them.

ADD: and the price for singular is way higher, because the plural got sold for mid 5-figs.

Back at the time when I bought my metaverse names I could have bought sexmetaverse and pornmetaverse for regfee but passed.

I'm happy with what is though and saying thank you for what I have.

It's Facebook "cause Paris"?

Ok, so meta.cn registrant details are shown below:

Here's another domain with the same details in Paris, metasmallbusiness.us....

On the second one we get the full details, including the application purpose which is P3. According to namesheep P3 is "Personal purpose".

Wouldn't you expect, if it was FB that the name was registered for that they would classify it correctly?

Also a search for the address in question results in the following people that have the same correspondence address registered for companies house in the UK, but I haven't worked out if that means anything yet...

We're on a domain forum talking about domains, why so defensive? You pointed to meta.cn before as undeniable proof that Facebook were hoovering up domains for 30k a pop, but the one you pointed to I don't see any proof that it's Facebook, nor that they they've been hoovering up names never mind for the amounts quoted.

So even if they do own lots of meta names, they probably do, but not the ones you pointed to already.

But just because HoganLovell is based in Paris doesn't mean that Meta.cn was purchased by Facebook, that's my point. I accept that Facebook use them and they are based in Paris, but they also have a real address.

And no, Swetha didn't succeed by registering a load of names so that she could piggyback off a company's brand name, she registered a lot of names in a new extension that she believed in.
