Hers a snippet from an article off CNET a link to their .TV from over 50 of their own sites and 1000 dealer sites can only help push the extension...

Mercedes-Benz is relaunching all of its Web sites to include more rich media content and tools, the company announced Monday.

The change will effect over 50 brand sites and 1,000 dealership sites around the world. The brand sites will include higher-resolution photos, videos and a 3D vehicle configuration tool, as well as Mercedes-Benz television commercials and links to Mercedes-Benz.TV.

This is probably my favourite .tv site so far as it is completely different from anything else out there and really shows the power of a well designed site combined with a great brand.
I think Mercedes are making a wise move by adding much more Video content to their sites as when browing for new cars then you want to see them in action, get excited, hear the engine roar....etc And boring text based sites dont do that unlike well designed Multimedia friendly sites like this one.

I would imagine this site becomes a major talking point in the future as Mercedes are putting a lot of money & time into this, with Mercedes being such a high profile & media friendly company then projects like this will surely get plenty of attention from all the traditional media outlets.

You may of guessed i kinda like this site :hehe:
Gave me lots of ideas for my latest project, i especially like the feature where the 'presenter' walks on from the side of screen and guides you around the site as straight away it lets you know you are on a different type of site which is somewhere between a TV Channel & a website.

I could go on forever talking rubbish but i will end now as i have lots of work to do!

WOW.... this .tv thing just keeps getting better and better, gm, mercedes ,tnt,mtv, howard stern, I'd say that .tv is reborn, and about to take USA by storm.... wohoooo....


Just a tid bit....... google trends on .tv, the real push needs to be done in the USA, if you check the trend map, USA is not on it.........

Montreal Canada is #6 on the list, most likely for the reason that Montreal.tv is a youtube/town guide type of site, with lots of media presence! (Site looks nice)

Another great bit of information, I tried to buy Toronto.tv from the owner who informed me they were in midst of developing that site........
