Does anyone know why the .MD domain name extension never gets talked about?

As smooth points out some sales for .md cctld .the .md extention with medical names would be worth buying.

Maybe because of it's not popular among people.no bid names under this extention under this name or no big sale with this extention.

d.md sold for $10k
t.md at $8.5k bid on afternic right now.

Not knocking it, all ccTLD's "really" stand for something (Like .tv, .cc, .ws , etc.) - but .md being Moldova still turns some Docs/promoters off.

A bad .md name costs $150 to register. Premium ones are higher. At these prices, it's not that popular.

^ Ditto -- Registry's generally don't get as many sales when they put their prices that high. That is, unless its a very good extension.

Hi price to register, true, however; as far as I am concerned, the Healthcare Industry has the $$$ to spend....

very true, however the extension is likely to be ruined by all the "cheap meds" and viagra sites. That will de-value it quite a bit :imho:

Then again...if they have the $$$ to spend, why not just spend it on the .com secondary market, another gTLD, or a the sponsored .pro extension?

I don't buy domains that arent .com .net or .org but if I were to buy that domain id pay High XX for it.
