After the whole Mbendi fiasco ( all my fault as I over-reacted and let it get out of hand) http://www.namepros.com/legal-issues-and-disputes/410415-look-at-threatening-letter-i-got.html
I have offered my apologies to all by PM and also do so now again publicly for my over-reaction and apologise for offering the story about the dog. I was not in possession of all my good faculties at that stage anymore. Sorry once again and also thanks for the balanced response and willingness to forgive and offer helpful comments from all concerned.
it might now actually turn into something good for .mobi
I sent a letter(e-mail) to Bill Paxton the owner of Mbendi.com saying I was sorry if I over-reacted to his threats and that I would like to co-operate for the good of .mobi and that I have revoked the cancellation of mbendi.mobi in order to fascilitate the smooth transfer of the domain to him. I also added that it would give me great pleasure to see him actaully make use of the site and gave him links to Mtld and some insight into the develop requirements for .mobi.
The MBendi website is widely used by the global community of corporate and political executives, managers and business professionals to find opportunities, business and finance partners and reference information. The MBendi website is also one of the world’s top mining, energy, oil and gas, resources and trade websites, as well as providing information on travel destinations worldwide. Directories on the MBendi website contain extensive information on companies, organisations, personalities, projects, facilities and more, often updated online by visitors around the globe.
So having a mobile version of mbendi would be a great asset as I see it for all the travelling businessmen who can have access with their mobile devices.
Hopefully this will promote .mobi to an even wider and influential market.
Regards
Fred
