Most of us reported strange activity for April .mobi parked traffic.

However, I can say thus far for May, I have been pleasantly surprised already.

Not only is there decent traffic on my parked .mobi's at NameDrive (this is not an endorsement for any parking site) but several have multiple hits and multiple clicks. The clicks thus far for May are more than all of April combined.

Right now, there are a total of 8 getting multiple clicks. 4 are CVCV and the others are strong one word English dictionary names. The 4 CVCV are not just random letters and vowels but are foreign language words.

Parked mobi's are not paying outrageous amounts for me with clicks ranging from $0.03 to $0.16. But, I don't plan on keeping these things parked for ever so for now they are just occupying space on someone else's server.

Some are spanish and tropical island (perhaps polynesian)

For overall foreign language words getting traffic (not much yet...still early in the month)...

Japanese, Spanish, Italian, and Hindi.

Oddly enough, German language led the month of April but none have traffic as of yet.

Most are all one word domains and have had no keyword optimization. In other words, the domain name is the keyword in that language.

pornuk.mobi US$ 0.13 11 3 % 27.27
ukporn.mobi US$ 0.13 10 3 % 30.00
sexuk.mobi US$ 0.06 6 3 % 50.00
uksex.mobi US$ 0.10 4 2 % 50.00
picturesex.mobi US$ 0.00 3 1 % 33.33

Still getting consistency. This time last month no hits and took off on 18th April.

I did not know you knew polynesian :gl:

But about the other replies here.....what`s the point of earning 3 cents a click?
I won`t even bother parking my names for now.

I am and always will remain unpredictable and a surprise to most people. Predictability is boring.

My approach to parking is this.

First, getting the name on the market. Parking is another way of advertising and promoting your domain name. Perhaps 80% of my sales have come from parking inquiries. If you have no intention of selling then that is fine but still it is getting exposure. NameDrive happens to be 5/5 compliant landing pages. While the referrals may not be, that will come.

Secondly, demographics...who, what, where.

Third, what about the traffic. I think many of us want to know if we have a winner or a dud. If it's high traffic YIPPEE! Those are perhaps the ones I will develop first and the quickest.

Forth...if you are not parking then what are your names doing? The few cents can add up, help pay for renewals, and pay development cost.

But mostly I like the exposure and the interest and potential offers that may come. If I have a high traffic domain, that helps in justifying a greater price even though it may not be developed. There are a lot of factors, as we know, that come into play when determining price and traffic is certainly one of them.

As for languages...glancing at my list I have Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Polynesian, English (americanized and the Queens english), German, Italian, Korean, Hindi, Portuguese, French, Afrikanaa, and perhaps a few others. I would have more but I am waiting on a few things to happen that I think may not be too far off in the near future.

If I find it, I like it, and its available I will reg it. For languages, we need a team to do multilingual sites. The Europeans are multilingual in nature simply because of the locale to each other.

I see the potential for this group right here on this forum to be a powerful consortium that could not only help drive .mobi but also steer it into every walk of life on every continent and country.

My sentiments exactly. Well put. :great:

great post.
I'm not parking mine right now with any service, developing some custom landers, but i am collecting demographic data & traffic stats which is very important.

How or which service are you using that is able to capture such info without parking?

I think there are pretty much tools out there could do it. Google Analytics (based on Urchin) is one of the best. It's free but can only monitor up to 50 sites.

I've been avg 2-5 views per day over my top twenty and had a $1.87 click yesterday. I've had several over $1

Through today, I am pleased to see a good broad mix of hits and clicks. I have placed all my parked .mobi domains at NameDrive. This is simply a place of "storage" for the time being.

The CVCV.mobi have the most clicks. But these are not just random CVCV. They are foreign language words, primarily Spanish which is nice to see, along with one Japanese CVCV.

A total of 17 parked mobi's have recieved hits so far generating some revenue: 9 are one word English dictionary words, 5 Spanish, 1 Japanese, one NNNN, and one LLN.

Traffic ranges from 14 to 1, clicks range from a high of 5 down to 1 paying from $0.02 to $0.16. I know Sedo will typically pay more per click. But I have selected NameDrive for parking my mobi's as it scores 5/5 on .mobi compliant pages and also has self optimizing keywords. That is simply one less task to manage. The only time I have to optimize is on two or more words or a specialty word.

Parking is not a big issue with me as, time permitting, I plan on getting every one of these live. But it is good for trending. And I definitely like seeing a spread or a wide range of words, languages, and usage.

And if raw traffic (which words are getting traffic) is any indication, then this shows wider acceptance and searches of the .mobi.

I, also have parked my undeveloped mobis at Namedrive for the same reason. I've been pretty pleased with the recent upsurge in views and clicks. Certainly not mind-blowing stats, but they're definitely increasing. My "most visited" site, which is a surprise to me, is one I'll be developing. Quite honestly, I did not expect much type-in traffic from it. Go figure :) ...

Yesterday 09May, was the worst day for me since 17Apr, but still better than I ever expected a month or so ago!

Today, it looks like it's going to be back up

This I like.

New Orleans is quite famous for its tours on hauntings as well as Venice Italy and I am sure many other major (and minor) towns and villages.

Sleepy Hollow, New York...The Headless Horseman.

Further evidence of action in the .mobi space:

I own these names, figures for May so far;

amatoriali.mobi - $1.87 - 35 hits - 15 clicks - 42.86%ctr
amatoriale.tv - nothing

gonzoporn.mobi - $0.17 - 20 hits - 8 clicks - 40.00%ctr
gonzoporn.tv - nothing

Nothing earth shattering I know, but enough to make a point.

Overall, yesterday was my best day in May and the final figures aren't in yet (19 times out of 20 they revise upwards)

Nice statistics there guys.

I have had an increase in page views so far for May, and I got my first click the other day on disabilitybenefits.mobi for 0.14

No other clicks yet on anything, but my names aren't as good as some of you guys already getting multiple clicks.

However, pageviews are definitely ratcheting up, and I expect more clicks on my domains soon.

My biggest winner for pageviews is a TOTAL surprise to me: dripping.mobi
