Mask related Names may sell in millions because of covid. I have Maskovat.com(Mask in Crezh Republic)🤑
confirmed with BrandBucket - the name has been sold: https://www.jamesnames.com/2021/01/mask-com-domain-name-sells-at-brandbucket/
Ya, but you know this is the most prominent use for covid masks, so selling an actual mask for the everyday consumer would be the most profitable, so if you are hoping for 10M, it would not hold that value long. And that is, like the political name of that one guy who owned the name of his son and that democrat team picked his running maid, and the ticket lost, but before it lost, the domain owner was offered 200K. Should have taken it.
Still listed at this Efty marketplace: https://www.brandforce.com/domain/mask.com/ FYI: @Doron Vermaat
Former owner cashed out at the right time to get the max value, but a great domain, can be a brand for any company not even pandemic related, from the top of my head beauty products comes to mind, but i feel it's a strong enough/memorable brand for many industries not necessarily dealing with anything mask related, for example can envision a entertainment production company branding around 'mask dot com'.
The link has the same content as the thread itself, no confirmation no price. Great name and masks will never been forgotten after Covid for sure.
The beauty of this domain is that it has multiple uses so it is valuable not just in covid era. Congrats to the seller and the buyer
I don't have a ton of experience in dictionary .coms. But 2 million dollars is not so appealing if they spent xxx,xxx to acquire it. But 10 million dollars is not an easy sale. Yes it could be worth that, not sure as i really don't know... 4L, dictionary, .com... I'm thinking 5 million is doable.. but 10? I don't know. If you consider that your company would have to profit 10 million after wages and expenses... just free money you could throw around... Then it makes sense. But then you're limiting yourself to huge fortune 500 companies or very ambitious startups willing to fork over 10 million dollars just for the branding. Seems very rare. And I understand that the renewal costs for Mask/com is probably not more than $180 for the next 20 years... but yeah. All in all, I think it was an okay price. Could've probably gone for 5 mil or at least 3 mil.
if its sold price revealed, perhaps this "mask" will make a new trend too, somemask, thatmask, 9mask, ...
