Making a Mini site - Advice & opinions needed

Hi - I have been toying with the idea to make a few mini-sites with a handfull of my domains to see if they perform any better than the usual parking pages.

I am looking for advice as to if it is usually worthwhile and what sort of increase in PPC rate you get if you sign up with adsense compared to the usual parking. (ie - what % do parking companies keep to themselves)

I was thinking about trying to get people to advertise on it but I think it would be difficult to charge anyone as the domain is still going to be for sale.

It would be great to hear any suggestions as to the best place to put the ads etc - ie - where they are just now or to the left ? I have'nt used adsense before so I have no idea what works or not.


Here's an example of one I that I have in the works, its only one page at the moment as I'm still trying to figure out the design/layout etc so any help/advice or general comments would be appreciated while its in the early stages Nothing on there is permanent yet.

I think every site is worth how much effort put into it.
If you make a simple site, don't expect to get a lot of clicks unless the name is very popular.
If you think the name is alright, develop it to the point where the site's name is meaningful for the visitors.

As for your mini-site, it looks good so far, but I think a lot of contents and pictures are the key.

Actually making very simple sites get MORE clicks as people tend to want to click away as quickly as possible. Some of my best adsense sites have extremely minimal content. My suggestion is to try parking...see what kind of traffic and conversion you get. If you can't get decent CTR or the income isn't much even after trying different keywords then attempt to make a mini site.
