Hi all,
I am brand new here. My apology if I have posted this in the wrong forum.
I have (or had) a domain name parked with GoDaddy for the last 10+ years pointing to my web hosting site. 2 days ago, I logged in my GoDaddy account and saw that "Sell your domain at $xx amount" button. Somehow, I was "trigger happy" at that moment and clicked the button. Then I received a "Your domains were removed from the Afternic Premium Network" email from GoDaddy. Aargh. My website is no longer working now. I thought my domain is still mine until it is sold.... Can I cancel my domain sale listing (I am sure it is not sold yet) to make my website function again??
Please help. Thanks!!!

I’m confused — did you actually sell your domain, or just list it for sale? If it’s simply listed, then unlist it and check your DNS setting to confirm where Nameservers and such are pointing. Godaddy tech support should be able to help you with that.

Yes, I am sure it is just listed for sale. Need to learn how to unlist it. Thanks for the reply. Cheers.

Most likely when you clicked the button it switched Name Servers and listed for sale, login and check in your account.

Since you mentioned website not working, your DNS records have also changed.

Simply contact the GD support.

or DIY, by finding your web-hosting NameServer (NS) details and update your domain NS back to it. Just google for finding your web-hositng NS or the find the original old email, that your web hosting had sent you. Or contact your web-hosting support.

Also, delete the Domain Sale listing. or at least set the sale price to a million dollar so that it wont get sold.

Yes, that's exactly what happened. I clicked the "sell" button and received the "Your domains were removed from the Afternic Premium Network" email. Then came the 2nd email asking to "Authorize your domain listing" but I did not authorize it (so it was never listed for sale) . I checked the Nameservers settting and it was no longer pointing to my hosting site. So I have just fixed it and am waiting for the process to be completed. Thanks!

Once nameserver updated it might take from a few mins to hours to propagate the change and you should be all set, glad its fixed!
