In a remote place, record breaking profits and tourism visits are reported by Macau, the worlds newest gambling resort. Now Macau, a tiny country close to mainland China has become the gambling mecca of the world. They have done that in only a couple years! Only months ago Macua reported its earnings surpassed Las Vegas in revenue.

I am trying to imagine the buzz when I think of the tiny resort with gamblers arriving by boat, plane, and ferry. Macau has broke its own record for visitors and now boasts 20 million visitors this year, a doubling in five years.

The domain macau.com recently sold for $550,000. A few years ago no one had any Macau domains. Don't bother trying to get decent Macau names now, they are gone.

Names with growth potential such as these names are inexpensive when first offered, once they hit main stream you will have to add many zeros to the numbers to get one.

Since Macau is so new the internet traffic is not important at this time. When it is in the daily news the name will reach its potential. So I am not providing traffic stats. I will say I have received large click thrus in Fab. for some and traffic is building.

Not trying to trash my thread by saying a domain name selling for only $5,000 should be sold thru a fourm like this? Plus you hope to get goodkarma by trying to steer potential buyers from making a bid on one of my names.



Thanks for pointing out names like macaupoker.com are not the same as macaupoker.org

If macaupoker was worth $5,000 then macaupoker.org would be worth $100.00. My two cents worth anyway.

Wondering though, if a person posts names for sale is it ok to make posts to try to weaken the possibiltiy of a sale to the poster? Not that yours did that as the names are not of the same caliber, merely proving that a person can reigister names still.

Thats like saying since macau.com sold for $550,000 that registering a name like macauroulette.com is in the same league?

A person can always find something to register. But just like real property, location is the main factor of a sell price and the root names for Macau are the ones worth the most.

If you read my earlier post - I said you are better off trying other routes for selling a high priced domain. There is a specific subforum here for high priced domains $1,000+

I read the rules before posting and see nowhere that says a name has to be sold for a certain price here. Lots of posts here for $1,000. I do know there is a place for posting high priced names, but this place does not exclude it either. Correct me if I am wrong though.

Maybe you are looking for the Bazaar in another exchange?.
