There are a lot of very popular .com and other tld names that start with e or i. For .mobi would you add m to that? Example, Which is best mRingTones.mobi, eRingTones.mobi, or iRingTones.mobi? Adding the letter to a generic word makes it easy to brand generic names.

Anyway, please vote, discuss!

m - reason is simple, m = one keystroke (not to mention m stands for mobile)

m

I've been seeing services advertised/proposed with 'm' in front of them (e.g. mPay) in relation to mobile phones for a few years.

None of the above. The market value still not clear. And artificials will not rule until normal will be take, resold, resold, resold, resold, resold

It wouldn't look or sound good with mMoney.mobi, iMoney.mobi looks better.
With some names maybe yes, but most, no. IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

i as a prefix would be my personal choice.

The term mCommerce has been around for a long time meaning mobile Commerce.

So, m could stand for mobi or mobile.

For a while in 2000 there was even mmm.ebay.com . Their lame attempt to take ebay mobile.
