.lv - What's your thoughts on this extention?

What do you think about the .lv extention? It is Latvia but I suppose it could stand for Las Vegas. Would .lv be worth investing in? Know of any cheap places to register?

Quite a while ago, I bought vacation.lv hoping for a las vegas connection. I haven't marketed it at all...it's received no offers, either...not a typical type-in though, is it?

Maybe a good gambling or casino keyword would work better.

Has EuroDNS's reputation improved since 6 months ago? I just did a search on here & came accross this thread, seams that they don't bother responding to emails & are not very professional.

Just another question. Is http://www.nic.lv/DNS/En/ & nic.anyextention the official registrar for that extention? Nic.lv has them at US$25

I don't like EuroDNS and I try not to use them, but that's just the first place I checked. I had problems with their DNS system a while ago, I don't know if they fixed anything.

I believe .lv is popular in Latvia but not useful everywhere else. As a domain hack, I would not advise it.

Unless it's Latvia-related I wouldn't really bother.
The domain you want is probably available in a cheaper and more memorable ccTLD...
